Steven Moffat has skilfully crafted one of the funniest plays to be seen on stage in a very long time. In the comedic hands of director Mark Gatiss and a brilliant cast of perfectly timed and genuinely funny performers, this is pure comedy gold.
Whatsonstage
Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss collaborate once more as their hit comedy returns to the West End! The Unfriend unites the creators with award-winning comedian Lee Mac and Jonathan Creek's Sarah Alexander who star as a married couple who befriend a strange woman on holiday, leading to outrageous (and hilarious) consequences.
The Unfriend reunites the dream team of Moffat and Gatiss who entranced audiences with their work together on the BBC's Sherlock and Dracula.
What is the story?
We've all been there, making fast friends on holiday we have no intention of ever seeing again. But Peter and Debbie's holiday friend really wants to keep in touch. After meeting on a cruise, they're surprised to hear from the eccentric Denver resident not only by email - there in person on their doorstep! After offering their spare room, things soon get out of hand - just who is their holiday friend?
