Fan of classic musicals and thought-provoking plays

I'm a fan of Golden Era musicals, think big bands, massive dance scenes and elaborate costumes. The all-singing, all-dancing classic musicals! But on the contrary, I also love thought-provoking plays. Ones that make you experience life from a different person's perspective.

My hobbies & interests

I love to grow, write, paint, draw, make, sew and cook. I also have a small flock of chickens and two very furry dogs. And a toddler. It keeps me very busy!

My favourite ever stage show

I loved Life of Pi, the puppetry and art direction is sublime. And it's one of my favourite books ever, so a great combination. I also loved Dirty Rotten Scoundrels for the costumes, the set design and the way they recreate the south of France on stage. It felt like a holiday!

My favourite ever concert

Seeing 311 at a tiny, intimate venue in London. I'd heard rumours of their on-stage energy before but experiencing it in person I was blown away. Best ever!

My watchlist

I'd love to see Maybe Happy Ending on Broadway. I've been listening to the soundtrack a bit and perfectly jazzy. Feels a bit K-pop-La La Land meets West World (but without all the bad stuff obviously).

Our Review of The Height of the Storm

The Height of the Storm

4/5
French playwright Florian Zeller delivers another emotional - and cryptic - snapshot-of-life with The Height of the Storm. In much the same vein as The Father, the audience is thrust into the lived experience of the characters.

Our Review of Matilda The Musical

Matilda The Musical

I'm afraid it's true, the kids are revolting - but don't be too alarmed, we mean 100% revolution and 0% revulsion. The school-aged portion of Matilda's cast are causing a revolution in musical theatre, singing and dancing their way to West End stardom...
