HPCC announces a new era as the West End production is set to become a one-part show!

The magic is evolving! After a decade of redefining theatre, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is preparing to invite audiences to experience the entire adventure in one unforgettable sitting.

Celebrating its 10th anniversary (where has the time gone!), HPCC will return in a new format that delivers the complete story in a single performance lasting two hours and 55 minutes with one interval. The updated production is set to reopen and London's Palace Theatre on 6th October 2026, following the final performance of the original two-part staging on 20th September. 

Producers have confirmed that the new structure is designed to be me accessible, allowing audiences to experience the full journey with just one ticket and one visit - whilst retaining the spellbinding moments fan know and love. 

What Is Harry Potter And The Cursed Child About?

The producers of The Cursed Child want every Potter fan heading into the play to be surprised by its twists and turns, so we won't reveal too much. We can say that Harry, Ron, and Hermoine are now all in their late 30s, married with kids and respectfully employed. Harry and Ginny's son Albus is just starting his first term at Hogwarts, yet his father's reputation hangs heavy around his neck, and he resents being only known as the son of The Boy Who Lived. Yet when sinister forces from Harry's past reemerge into the world, Albus must embrace the Potter legacy for the battles to come...
