Paddington The Musical Searches For Judy Brown
There’s about to be a new arrival in town…
This time it's not from Darkest Peru! After opening to glowing reviews, Paddington The Musical is now searching for a new Judy to join the adventure at the Savoy Theatre.
One lucky young performer might just find themselves packing their suitcase for the West End.
For aspiring Judys, Nick Hockaday is organising the search. The ideal Judy should have a playing age of 15 to 16 (though performers must be at least 17 to tackle an eight-show week), boast a "high, strong pop belt," have movement experience, and measure no taller than 5'3".
About Paddington The Musical
Based on the beloved books by Michael Bond and the hit film franchise, the show features music and lyrics by Tom Fletcher, a book by Jessica Swale, and direction from Luke Sheppard. It follows everyone's favourite marmalade enthusiast as he finds a home with the Browns - and, naturally, lands in a spot of bother that requires a family-sized rescue mission.
The current company includes James Hameed and Arti Shah sharing duties operating the cutest Paddington puppet known to man (with alternates at the ready), while a starry principal cast includes Bonnie Langford, Brenda Edwards, Victoria Hamilton-Barritt, and Tom Edden, among others.
