A festive family treat!

The most wonderful time of the year is here at last! And what better way to celebrate than with a wholesome family treat courtesy of the London Musical Theatre Orchestra. Let's see what our Kitty thought when she went to check it out.

"The London Musical Theatre Orchestra and Griff Rhys Jones celebrate the season with this gleeful Christmas jaunt that's bursting with joy, tenderness and comedy.Led by founder, the inimitable Freddie Tapner on the baton, the company lay on a marvellously merry gift, that thanks to the talents of Rhys Jones and the supporting cast of West End stars of today and tomorrow, leave you truly full of the festive spirit."

What is A Christmas Carol In Concert about?

Running for a decade on Broadway, the show-stopping production fuses the full London Theatre Orchestra and their big-band sound with the classic tale of Ebenezer Scrooge, a wealthy but thoroughly disagreeable miser, who spreads displeasure wherever he roams. Set one fateful Christmas Eve, Scrooge declines an invitation to dinner with his polar opposite nephew Fred, choosing to ignore the delight and warmth of the Yuletide season with an early bedtime. When the ghost of his old business partner Jacob Marley appears to him with foreboding news of three more unearthly visitations, Scrooge must weigh his earthly actions and face the consequences of his greed and selfishness.

A Christmas Carol is currently running at the Lyceum Theatre through to December 17.
