A great cast and plentiful carol-singing make this staging of the Dickens classic as rich as a plum pudding

Say 'Bah Humbug!' to the cold winds and horizontal rain of winter and swing into the festive season instead with the spectacular Christmas Carol concert production at London's Lyceum Theatre, this year starring Griff Rhys Jones, Lucy Jones, Miriam-Teak Lee, Cedric Neal, Rosemary Ashe and Nicolas Colicos!
Guaranteed to warm the cockles, the dazzling yearly tradition returns once more to treat audiences to the beloved Dickensian tale just in time for Christmas, weaving together songs by iconic Disney composer Alan Menken, and lyrics by Ragtime writer Lynn Ahrens, with direction by British theatre-maker Mike Ockrent.
Running for a decade on Broadway, the show-stopping production fuses the full London Theatre Orchestra and their big-band sound with the classic tale of Ebenezer Scrooge, a wealthy but thoroughly disagreeable miser, who spreads displeasure wherever he roams. Set one fateful Christmas eve, Scrooge declines an invitation to dinner with his polar opposite nephew Fred, choosing to ignore the delight and warmth of the Yuletide season with an early bedtime. When the ghost of his old business partner Jacob Marley appears to him with foreboding news of three more unearthly visitations, Scrooge must weigh his earthly actions and face the consequences of his greed and selfishness.
