What's The Story?

Set in East Berlin in 1984, The Lives of Others follows a playwright and an actress as the Stasi quietly invades their lives. From the attic above their apartment, Officer Captain Gerd Wiesler listens to their unfolding secrets and soon finds himself unexpectedly drawn into their stories. What was once a game of political surveillance, now becomes something much more raw, honest and based upon human connection.
