Get excited for the UK premiere of BAFTA award-winning CBBC Television favourite, Operation Ouch! Live on Stage. The successful children's health programme hailed a stage show so engrossing, two sold-out tours of Australia followed. Finally, London audiences can witness the absurdity, the experiments, the stunts and the charismatic van Tulleken Twins in person at the refurbished Apollo Theatre this festive season. Fronted by the brothers in scrubs Dr Chris (in blue) and Dr Xand (in green) who are London-bred and Oxford University-trained, the show makes science and biology accessible, fun and easier to understand for young (and old) audiences.
The European premiere is directed by Peter Adams, with lighting by Richard Dinnen. It is presented by Andrew Kay and Margot Teele for Andrew Kay & Associates.
The show aims to educate children about medicine and the world of biology by performing experiments on the human body and showing the audience how the body works in all its weird and wonderful glory (which is likely to include all manner of bodily excretions!) Packed with live action experiments, and demonstrations bringing fun facts to life, Dr Chris and Dr Xand will also share their favourite snippets from the TV show that first captured hearts.
