From Ryan Calais Cameron, the Sky Arts Award-winning writer of For Black Boys and Retrograde comes The Afronauts, telling the incredible, almost-forgotten story of Zambia's bold bid to conquer the final frontier; a space mission fuelled not by money or machinery, but by imagination and belief. Led by an idealistic schoolteacher with nothing to lose and everything to prove, a group of unlikely visionaries prepare to launch themselves into space travel history.

Deep Azure lands at the Sam Wanamaker Playhouse, marking its UK premiere. Written by the late, great, award-winning Chadwick Boseman. Known best globally for his work as an actor in films such as Black Panther and Ma Rainey's Black Bottom, Boseman was also accomplished as a playwright, with 2005's Deep Azure nominated for a Jeff Award for its drawing on the rhythms of Hip-Hop, the traditions of spoken word and the influence of Shakespearean verse. This new production is directed by Tristan Fynn-Aiduenu (For Black Boys Who Have Considered Suicide When The Hue Gets Too Heavy), making his Globe debut as a director.
