Be Careful What You Wish For
Winner of the 2026 Olivier Award for Best Musical Revial!
Fairytale folklore comes to The Bridge Theatre! James Fein (Oklahoma!, Cabaret) directs Tony-winning super duo Stephen Sondheim and James Lapine's second collaboration. The Brothers Grimm-inspired story premiered on Broadway in 1987. Since then, the tale of a childless baker and his wife has been adapted into a $213 million-grossing Disney film and has had countless revivals. The question remains - what will you go Into the Woods for?
What Awaits in the Woods?
Cinderella dreams of the King's festival, the baker and his wife long for a child, and Jack hopes his cow will produce milk. When a witch reveals that she has cursed the baker's family, they are sent on a long and perilous journey into the woods to break the spell. There, they encounter a hungry wolf, Rapunzel, and Little Red Riding Hood. But will their wishes be fulfilled? And if so, what consequences will follow?
