The Fabulist

The Fabulist at Charing Cross Theatre

Why see The Fabulist?

A New Musical Comedy

The brand new comedy musical The Fabulist comes to London for the first time, landing at the Charing Cross Theatre this summer! Featuring music by the 18th-century composer Giovanni Paisiello and with James P. Farwell behind the show's book and lyrics, The Fabulist is based on The Imaginary Astrologer, a 1779 opera by Paisello. Reimagining the tale in 1920s Italy, it follows Julian, an illusionist who's managed to simultaneously find himself on the receiving end of the both the Church and Mussolini's wrath.

Helmed by director John Walton, casting has not yet been announced but the production's core team includes music director Bobby Goulder, David Shields designing sets and costumes, Fridthjofur Thorsteinsson on lighting design and Andrew Johnson on sound design. Don't miss this rich new comedy musical's debut run in London!
