Neville's Island

Neville's Island at Duke of Yorks Theatre

Why see Neville's Island?

Welcome to Neville's Island

Four executive middle managers are stranded on a remote island in the Lake District in Tim Firth's spectacularly funny, but touching 1992 play. Ineptitude in the face of the Great Outdoors is a key theme as these poor men navigate the tough terrain of survival.

Premiering at the Chitchester Festival, this new production has the joy of Angus Jackson as director, seamlessly sliding us into the mire with Nev, Roy, Gordon and Angus, played by a quartet of well loved comedy stars of stage and screen, Neil Morrissey, Robert Web, Adrian Edmondson and Miles Jupp.

Don't miss this wonderful chance to see these actors take on the deviously dark and wickedly funny world of Neville's Island!

A bit like lord of the flies for grown ups. What is Neville's Island about?

Beware the perils of the Team Building weekend, or learn the (very) hard way like the poor denizens of Neville's Island. Shipwrecked in the Derwentwater, they find refuge on the tiny Rampsholme, in the middle of winter. What will these four hapless businessmen in inappropriate clothing do? When it becomes clear they have the collective survival skills of a teddy bear, rather than Bear Gyrlls, things quickly take a turn for the worse...
