A roaring rebel yell permeates David Hare's landmark play, which is celebrating its 50th-anniversary in 2026, with this revival directed by Daniel Ragget. Starring Rebecca Lucy Taylor, AKA Self Esteem, as Maggie Frisby, an iconoclastic singer with a band on the verge of collapse, TEETH 'N' SMILES follows Maggie as she reckons with the death of her dreams of youthful rebellion and features the play's original alongside new contributions from Ivor Novello award-winning Taylor.
Speaking on the production, Hare says, "I can't think of anything more exciting than watching Rebecca Lucy Taylor and Daniel Raggett strip the varnish off my old play...it's a perfect moment to see if a new generation responds to that 70s mix of hope, drugs, music, sex and despair." We're pretty sure they will, David.
Gregor Milne, Damien James, Levi Heaton, Guy Amos, and Daniel Crespin
