The newest work by Alice Birch!

Alice Birch returns to the Royal Court Theatre in 2017 with a brand-new work, directed by Katie Mitchell. Debuting with her first full-length play Many Moons in 2011 at the Edinburgh Fringe, this new and provocative work examines the dreadful legacy of suicide through three generations of women in the same family. Known for her unashamedly feminist writing, Birch continues her partnership with Mitchell following their previous collaborations 2071, Ten Billion, Cleansed) and Ophelias Zimmer, staged in early 2016.

Her first commissions include Peckham: The Soap Opera and Revolt. She Said. Revolt Again for the Royal Shakespeare Company, where she decided to challenge the brief that assumed women were all well-behaved.
