Why see The Blues Brothers - Summer Special?
The Brothers are back this summer!
Grab your saxaphones, sunnies and skinny ties everybody; the Blues Brothers are heading back to the West End this July! Last seen at the Arts Theatre in December, the Hartshorn – Hook Productions show will be staged at the Hippodrome for a limited engagement, helmed by Joshua Mumby and featuring choreography by Lily Howkins and musical direction by James Robert Ball. Originally created in 1976 by American comedians Dan Aykroyd and John Belushim, The Blue Brothers served as part of a musical sketch on the long-running TV show Saturday Night Live.
For a limited period, enjoy the rollicking adventures of Jake and Elwood Blues as they tear through rock 'n' roll, the blues and soul music in the hit musical that will include a few new numbers specially added for the festive season. Joined by the fabulous Bluettes, this is a fast-paced festive treat that will have fans of the original musical dancing in the aisles. Featuring the best-loved tunes including Gimme Some Lovin', Think, Soul Man, Minnie The Moocher and Jailhouse Rock, this is the perfect treat for the rock fan in your life!
