Private Lives

Private Lives at Ambassadors Theatre

Why see Private Lives?

Havers and Hodge

The effervescent comedy genius of Noel Coward returns to the West End as this delicious production of Private Lives opens the newly refurbished Ambassadors Theatre this autumn. Starring Nigel Havers and Patricia Hodge as exes with unfinished business, this sparkling adaptation from Christopher Luscombe was a hit on its Theatre Royal Bath premiere, and will undoubtedly be a hot ticket in the capital when it begins performances from August 31st.

Following the story of two ex-spouses Elyot (Havers) and Amanda (Hodge), who find themselves honeymooning in the same South of France hotel with their new partners, Private Lives unfolds with classic Coward chaos and calamity. As past passions re-ignite, can they navigate a future together? Or did they have it right when they split the first time round? Either way, it's going to be a very very funny journey!
