After winning the Edinburgh Festival Critics Award for Comedy in 1994, Alan Davies won over the country with his mop of curls and Sherlockian powers of deduction on the beloved BBC comedy drama Jonathan Creek. But it was landing a plum job on the panel show QI (where he's been since 2003) that cemented his status as one of the nation's most recognised comedians. Now a husband, father and a successful author, the Essex native is ready to disabuse us of that notion on this new jaunt.

Alan...you've still got it!
The show at the Alex in Birmingham was excellent! I've been a keen fan forever, and was not disappointed. All the material was new...not surprising after all this time!
I bought his book and was first in the queue for signing. He chatted while waiting for a pen to appear, and it rounded off the evening beautifully.
