Jekyll and Hyde

An exciting new dance modelled on the iconic horror tale
Why see Jekyll and Hyde?
Jekyll & Hyde as you've never experienced before!
As part of Matthew Warchus' inaugural season leading the Old Vic, as part of a new commission that brings dance into the theatre's repertoire. Produced by brand-new dance collective The McOnie Company, this production re-imagines Robert Louis Stevenson's sinister horror tale in an excitingly physical new modern dance that features music by Grant Olding.
Following Kevin Spacey's departure as Artistic Director last year, after an astonishing decade-long tenure, the reins to the Old Vic have been handed to lauded director Matthew Warchus, who has helmed Matilda: The Musical and Ghost as well as a string of Broadway successes.
Of his new appointment, Warchus is determined to breathe new life and productions into the established theatre. "After 25 years of freelance directing I unexpectedly find myself running my favourite theatre in the world. My first season demonstrates our aim to present more productions per year, of wide-ranging work, in a 'something for everyone' approach which reflects my own eclectic tastes and love of this unique and uplifting art form."
