Regents Park Open Air Theatre's associate artistic director, Tinuke Craig (Noughts & Crosses), presents an extraordinary reimagining of Antonio Vivaldi's classical masterpiece The Four Seasons this summer. Choreographed by Alexzandra Zarmiento (42 Balloons) and with musical arrangement by DJ Walde (The Importance of Being Earnest), A Life In Four Seasons is a pulsating new work of contemporary dance, weaving a tale of friends moving through the seasons in the city, discovering the shifting landscapes - both physical and emotional - that the metropolis offers as the atmosphere around it changes.
The most popular of Vivaldi's concertos, his enchanting Four Seasons takes the listener on a journey that celebrates and evokes the best of the seasons. Textured and passionate, the music adventures through the chattering birds of spring as they soar over flower-strewn meadows, the gathering tremors of a thunderous summer storm, a joyous dance of an autumn harvest and the icy snows of a chilly winter. A Life In Four Seasons is set to be a sumptuous interpretation of this classical classic.
