Coming to mainstream attention in the late 1960s Janis Joplin was a troubled, yet exceedingly talented singer-songwriter whose distinct gravelly vocals and rock and roll swagger made her a star. While she only released three records across her 27 years, her electric presence has seen her become an influential figure in music history.

This show stole a little piece of my heart now
There are no words to capture how amazing Mary Bridget Davies is as Janis Joplin or how utterly breathtaking this whole show is. You just have to experience it for yourself. It will transport you back into the past in the most transcendent way. And her voice.....unbelievable. A wall of sound like I'd never experienced in my life. And without any spoilers, the double act that ends the first half will leave you touched by the spirit. Amen! ... Read more
