Saturday Night Fever

Saturday Night Fever at Peacock Theatre

Why see Saturday Night Fever?

You Can Tell By The Way He Walks...

It's time to break out the bell-bottoms and practice your best Funky Chicken in platform shoes because beloved silver screen classic Saturday Night Fever lives to dance again! Originally a 1977 cult hit film starring a hip-shaking John Travolta in his prime, the nostalgic production fuses the glittering era's best choreography with a stirring coming of age story and a soundtrack chock-full of dance-floor filling hits from the Bee Gees, including Disco Inferno and the iconic falsetto-testing disco mega-hit Stayin' Alive.

What is the story?

The groovy tale follows 19-year-old Brooklyn native and dreamer Anthony 'Tony' Ramero who works a dead-end job during the day but escapes his oppressive reality by reigning as a dance floor king of 2001 Odyssey, his local discotheque. When a big dance competition is announced, Tony manages to partner with the equally gorgeous and talented Stephanie, on the condition they keep things professional. But as the heat of their dancing turns up to the next level, so do their feelings for each other...

Fantastic!!!

The matinée performance Sat 19th March did not disappoint! Such a feel good afternoon of all that it is to be alive. Straight in with Staying Alive at the very opening scene we were hooked. Superb cast, group dancing was tremendous and I'd go see it again at the drop of a hat. Lock down has proved how much these professionals mean and how much the entertainment industry should be prescribed for wellbeing. I'm still smiling and buzzing from the performance. Their talent and committment to their profession is an absolute joy. Thank you for bringing this to the stage! Loved it! ... Read more
