The Girls

Why see The Girls?

LONDON'S NEWEST HIT

Gary Barlow and Tim Firth bring their new musical 'The Girls' to London, after successfully premiering it in Leeds in 2015. Based on the true story of Yorkshire's favourite group of gung-ho WI ladies who's idea for a nude calendar to raise money for a local hospital became worldwide news. Lighthearted, uproarious and poignant, the show boasts brand new songs from lifelong friends Barlow and Firth that score the latest iteration of this wonderful tale!

If more people did WI, there'd be half the need for hallucinogenic drugs...

Bereft at the loss of her husband John to cancer, Annie finds strength as her friends from the Women's Institute rally round, hoping to pay tribute to the man they all knew and loved. When her best friend Chris suggests creating a nude calendar to raise funds for the local hospital in his name, none of them can imagine the impact the idea will have on their lives.

Best known for his work with Take That, Ivor Novello winning Gary Barlow is no stranger to creating musicals, with The Girls likely to be his second show opening on the West End in 2017 with his Broadway hit, Finding Neverland expected to make the jump sometime in the Winter!
