Women on the Verge of A Nervous Breakdown

Women on the Verge of A Nervous Breakdown at Playhouse Theatre

Why see Women on the Verge of A Nervous Breakdown?

TWO OLIVIER Award NOMINATIONS!

Stage and TV star Tamsin Greig leads this musical adaption of Pedro Almodova's 1988 Spanish film, where a group of women's personal lives become inextricably tangled with each other, with all suffering from various forms of lovesickness.

WHAT IS IT ABOUT?

Greig plays the central character Pepa, who is grieving the breakdown of her relationship. Just as she thinks she may be over this period in her life, who should show up but her ex-partner, his ex-wife, Pepa's grown up son and fiancee in tow. Not only that, her best friend could be in love with an international terrorist!

David Yasbek and Jeffrey Lane, whose Dirty Rotten Scoundrels musical is currently seeing positive reviews in the West End are the writing team behind this latest venture.

The 2010 Broadway production received three Tony Award nominations, and the London show will feature numbers from Yasbeck's original score including "Madrid," "Lie to Me," "Island" and "Shoes from Heaven".
