Leading Ukrainian play-write, Natal'ya Vorozhbit returns to the Royal Court to showcase her brand new play "Bad Roads". Exploring women's experiences of warfare, Natal'ya combines different accounts to tell a heartbreaking yet funny reflection on the war raging in Ukraine.
Following three separate accounts; teenage girls waiting for soldiers, a journalist writing from the front line and a medic mourning the death of her lover this new play will give the audience an account of warfare that is scarcely told. This new take on a world-wide issue makes "Bad Roads" an unmissable event which is sure to define the Royal Court's Autumn/Winter season.
Natal'ya Vorozhbit's relationship with the Royal Court is certainly extensive, dating back to 2004. Vorozhbit's career has seen her stage plays across Kazakhstan, Moscow and Latvia making her a truly international play-write. Her reputation for commenting on conflict with humour and intelligence is well established in the world of theatre, making her an exciting female play-write.
