Jessie Cave: Sunrise

Jessie Cave: Sunrise at Soho Theatre

Why see Jessie Cave: Sunrise?

Jessie Cave's Latest Stage/Stand-Up Hybrid

Actress, writer and illustrator Jessie Cave may perhaps be best known for her her role as the lovelorn Lavender Brown in the Harry Potter film franchise, but the multi-talented performer has channelled her creative energy into multiple outputs, including comedy sketches and short films on her Youtube channel, a book of illustrations, stand-up and solo shows. Following a critically acclaimed debut at the 2018 Edinburgh Fringe Festival, she brings her latest stage offering 'Jessie Cave: Sunrise' to London's Soho Theatre for a strictly limited three week run this winter.

Baring her heart on her sleeve, Cave shares everything from the ebb and flow of her sex life to troubles with self esteem in an intimate blend of stand-up comedy and soul searching. Sunrise sees her hopeful about motherhood and getting her life together in the wake of a breakup, inspired by a community of 'Power' women who get up at sunrise to exercise, work through life admin and find themselves before heading off to their job. Her experiment brings her somehow charming neuroses bubbling to the surface in a whirlwind of self-deprecation, wit and truly intelligent comedy.
