Before the Pitch Perfect franchise, there was cult classic teen comedy Bring It On, a biting satire that ruled the early 2000s thanks to its self-awareness and killer dance routines. Now the popular film steps out onto the stage thanks to an all-star creative team with a book by Tony Award-winning Avenue Q writer Jeff Whitty and music and lyrics reigning Broadway king Lin-Manuel Miranda. Expect acrobatic sassiness, perky pep and rapid-fire trash talk!
The story is set in the the girl-eat-girl world of competitive cheerleading, where newly elected team captain Torrance is sure her team will come out tops at the national championship, securing their sixth trophy in a row. But when she discovers all of their choreography was pilfered from their rivals the Clovers by the old captain, Torrance must find a way to beat them fair and square.
