Dessert

He who is greedy is always in want
Horace
Why see Dessert?
How big a slice to you deserve?
Alongside the long-awaited revival of Lettice and Lovage and the retooled Love in Idleness, Trevor Nunn completes his 2017 hat trick with this brand new play from Oliver Cotton. Dessert examines the human obsession with wealth, how to gain it, how to keep it, and how to navigate the depths avarice can lead to.
Darkly comic with a sinister twist, Dessert is the story of a dinner party given by a British Financier and his wife. As their guests, an affluent American couple, get into the swing of conversation over a delicious meal, they can hardly predict the sudden and disturbing turn the evening is about to take.
