Suggs: What a King Cnut
Letting us into his world of madness
Letting us into his world of madness
With a show name like that, it must be Suggs. The Madness frontman and solo artist returns to the stage for a new tell-all after the smash hit success of his last one, 'My Life Story'. Now the icon of Ska-pop turns his insights to life in the industry, fame and its surreal highs and lows. With his signature North London candour and way with words, you'll hear the truth of the wobbly tightrope of fame, including just what it's like to get vertigo on the roof of Buckingham Palace!
Since 1976 Graham 'Suggs' McPherson has been gallivanting in the public eye, first with Madness, then solo, then back with Madness again. The band's contribution to the 2 Tone and Ska revival made them one of the most prominent groups of the 70s and 80s, with hits including One Step Beyond, Our House and Baggy Trousers never leaving the public consciousness. In addition, Suggs has enjoyed a pretty varied career as a writer, actor, radio personality and bonafide national treasure.
