Graham Meets Maynard Keynes!
Starring Olivier winner Rory Kinnear!
This autumn, the West End welcomes the highly anticipated world premiere of The Standard of Living, a new play by Olivier Award-winning playwright James Graham (Punch, Quiz, Ink, Dear England). Staged at the Theatre Royal Haymarket, this strictly limited run follows intellectual titan John Maynard Keynes, a man who rewrote the rules of modern economics during a world on the brink of crisis.
Not just an economist, but a man of the people, Keynes believed that when the economy slowed down, governments should step in and spend money to help get people working and businesses growing again - Graham is here to tell his side of the story.
James Graham is one of the most essential voices in British theatre today. Fresh off the massive success of Dear England, he is renowned for taking complex historical subject matter and translating it for the stage. If his previous hits Punch and Quiz are any indication, The Standard of Living is bound to be just as impactful!
