Vincent River Returns To The West End
Back by popular demand, British director Robert Chevara's production of Vincent River returns to London following a critically acclaimed Off-West End run in 2018. Playing for a strictly limited seven-week run at Trafalgar Square Studios, the dark and gritty exploration of loss comes from the pen of celebrated British playwright and author Philip Ridley, whose diverse range of works span children's books, screenwriting and the rise of the 'In-Yer-Face Theatre' movement in the UK.
The deeply moving two-hander follows Anita, a grieving mum whose been forced to move home after the brutal murder of her son. She meets Davey, a young teen who's been skulking round her new home. Upon their first meeting, she notices his bruises and cuts, and like her own son, discovers he's been beaten. As their stories unfold and become entangled, it emerges that it was Davey who discovered Vincent's body and may know more than he lets on.
