The Cost Of Greed

Anne Marie Duff stars in Lillian Hellman's modern classic

Wealth is power, and the Hubbard family is hungry for both. At the center stands Regina Hubbard, a woman who has watched her brothers amass fortunes while she is left with nothing. When an opportunity arises that could change her fortunes forever, Regina is ready to make her move... no matter who stands in her way. What follows is a ruthless battle for control, pitting the family against each other and revealing just how far each will go to secure their place at the top.

BAFTA winner Anne-Marie Duff (Bad Sisters, Nowhere Boy) takes the stage in The Little Foxes, Lillian Hellman's gripping tale of ambition, betrayal, and the cost of greed. Directed by Olivier Award-winner Lyndsey Turner (The Crucible, Top Girls), this thrilling revival brings a fresh intensity to one of modern theatre's most cutting examinations of family and power. Hellman's inspiration for the play reportedly comes from her own in-laws, the Marx family. The discord between the two sides came about from poor business decisions by her father, belittled by her wealthy Marx grandmother on a continual basis. Ouch.
