TINA THE MUSICAL ~ A MUST SEE

Arrive at the Aldwych theatre just in time for the Sunday matinee performance. The staff were very welcoming and we made our way to our seats. Unfortunately we were sat behind a very tall man who swayed from left to right throughout the whole performance making it rather difficult to see & concentrate on the actual show! The show itself was fantastic. Brilliant singing & lighting effects. ‘Tina’ was superb- such energy & a fantastic voice - you had to remind yourself it wasn’t actually her. It was emotional as well - perhaps more so because of Tina’s fairly recent death. All in all we had the most fantastic day in London, great show & meal. I would highly recommend you go to the show & hope your not sat behind a tall man who can’t keep his head still!!

CAST IS TIRED

I saw the May 2022 production, excellent and just yesterday the 2023 production. It was sadly day and night in theater experience. Word must be getting out as sitting in row E I had several empty seats to both sides of me. There was limited soul in the acting , music carries the production. The actor playing Ike was truly a disappointment. He was loud but just shouted his lines without feeling. Tina actress was okay, but did not use an American accent for Tina upon her arrival in London, really a Southern woman steps off the plane and magically has a full on British accent. I think they are all tired, it’s time to quit rather than damage what was a great musical.

What we thought

A ROLLING success!

The high never really stops as Adrienne Warren delivers simply the best performance as the Queen of Rock and Roll.

Fans of all ages were whooping from the first bars of the first song (Nutbush City Limits - what else?) And the high never really stops as Adrienne Warren delivers simply the best performance as the Queen of Rock and Roll.
