Why See Horrible Christmas?
A Truly Horrible Christmas
The Horrible Histories crew returns to the stage this December with another hilarious and educational extravaganza! Exploring the history of, you guessed it, Christmas, discover the story of yule through the ages, from the Medieval times to the Victorian era.
Told in the classic style of the HH company, expect an evening of song, dance and merriment with cameos from some of the season's most influential figures including Charles Dickens, Oliver Cromwell, Henry VIII and St. Nicholas himself.
A national institution, Horrible Histories has been enlightening us on its mission to illuminate history -with the gory bits left in- for young audiences since the publication of the first book by Terry Deary in the series (Awful Egyptians) in 1993. Since then it's spawned many a delightful sequels, multiple stage shows and of course, the iconic BBC series of the same name.
