Why See Bonnie and Clyde?
The Devil's Children
The story of Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow has fascinated the public ever since they began their infamous crime spree in 1932. Numerous media have explored their relationship and hunger for murder, with highlights being Arthur Penn's stylish 1967 movie and Serge Gainsbourg and Brigitte Bardot's unique ballad of the same year. And now, following a highly successful concert staging in January 2022 starring Jeremy Jordan, comes this full-length production of Frank Wildhorn, Don Black, and Ivan Menchell's musical retelling of their unforgettable romance running at the Arts Theatre from April, starring Frances Mayli McCann and Jordan Luke Gage.
Set to a bluegrass, gospel and rockabilly infused score, the tale of the two outlaws is brought to life on stage, from the pair's early lives to their combustive meeting and subsequent, headline-grabbing crime-spree culminating in their final shoot out.
