GOOD
The small cast of 5 adults and 1 child worked their socks off. Great singing by all. Beverley Knight was fabulous. The story told the journey of the Drifters through many iterations up to the point of the trial that came in favour of Faye Treadwell, their manager. The timeline is a little difficult to follow as changes were happening all the time. No chorus singing and dancing as there is no chorus. But on the whole a good nights entertainment that received a standing ovation.

DISAPPOINTED
Something was missing, well the wonderful Beverley Knight was for a start but her understudy was excellent. All the cast were superb in their multi-role talents, but the flat, depressing script failed to lift the show.

GREAT VOICES BUT POOR DIALOGUE
Dont know why the cast used steteotypical southern american accents so thick that it was imperceivable some of the time. It was a shame because the cast was fabulous. The girl had the best diction of all.

WHY THE DEEP SOUTH ACCENTS WHEN GROUP FROM NYC
Would have been better with less strong deep south accents .Cast was great singing perfect .Group was from New York so NYC accent would have been more authentic. Difficult to understand

DRIFTERS GIRL,
Big Beverly knight fan ,feel she was totally underused ,as for the story ,you will find yourself trying to focus, but losing the will to stay with it, found the second half slightly better then the first ,especially towards the end ,where the show did kick into something like I expected it to be ,but all too brief, on the whole a big disappointment

THE DRIFTERS GIRL MUSICAL
I was expecting very uplifting show especially with Beverley Knight vocals but was left disappointed. Story line to long should have more songs with Beverley knight singing . Cast of 6 worked hard the male vocals weren’t the best and very boring set . Seen so many shows in London but this I would say was the bottom of the list.

NOT HAPPY AT ALL
Went yesterday to the matinee. To start with the theatre seating very cramped with no social distance seating wise. Just before it started audience was told ONLY UNDERSTUDIES through Covid. Everything now blamed on Covid. Not happy considering the price of the tickets paid to only see understudies. This is the second time gone to see Beverley Knight in Musical using understudy. The story was boring, hard to understand their accent. No stage hands to bring on stage props. Drifter singers had to be jack of all trades. No lovely back drops or sparkles. All I can say is I wouldn't recommend this musical, the best thing was the fantastic band which you only saw the last five minutes.
