BRILLIANT ENTERTAINMENT. DON'T MISS IT.
My wife and I saw it last night (6 March) and loved it. We have seen the play several times before and it cannot really fail but this was up with the very best. Angela Lansbury was, of course, the star, as Madame Arcati, but this was actually a cast where they all pulled equal weight. If I had to make a criticism, it would be that the audience were loving it so much that it was sometimes a little difficult to hear everything, even from quite near the front (Row J). I'm not sure that really counts as a criticism! There's only so much projection that a cast can be expected to sustain over all the mirth they were generating.

DAME ANGELA, WELCOME BACK!
A fabulous play and first class performance from the cast led by London's very own Dame Angela Lanesbury. Theater full to the brim, standing ovation and those kind of goosebumps you get when you know you are in the presence of a true world class star! I am definitely seeing it again soon.

WONDERFUL
We saw this play last night and it was superb - The play is very funny and a perfect vehicle for Angela Lansbury as Madame Arcarti. The whole cast were brilliant and the comic timing was perfect. A wonderful evening out and not to be missed!

DAME ANGELA GETS INTO THE SPIRIT OF THINGS
A wonderful production – great comic timing by the entire cast. Special mention for Patsy Ferran, on her professional debut as Edith the maid – and wonderful.
But since the big question is the star – Dame Angela is just fab!

We struggled to find someone nearby to eat, so dined at The Gilbert Scott and cabbed it to the theatre. We had seats in the front row of the dress circle, which
allowed us an excellent view – and I'd take anyone to this production. A real pleasure.

ENTERTAINMENT AT ITS BEST
My friend and I enjoyed a marvellous afternoon of entertainment from a small but extremely talented cast. The cherry on the icing was undoubtably dame Angela who delivered an hilarious performance!

AS GOOD AS I'D HOPED, WELL ACTUALLY BETTER!
Saw this on Easter Monday, was expecting to love Dame Angela ( bit of a heroine since a school trip to see bed knobs and broomsticks when I was nine) and I did, but the whole cast and production were amazing, loved every bit, so well deserving of the very long standing ovation which genuinely seemed to thrill the very radiant leading lady.

FANTASTIC
Just been to see Angela Lansbury in Blithe Spirit. Firstly I am speechless this play was fabulously funny. Angela shone as Madame Arcati. I could watch this again and again and it would still be hilarious. Best birthday present ever!!!

GREAT SHOW, WONDERFUL DAME ANGELA
I came from berlin to see teh show. It was one of the best theatre shows I've ever seen. Perhaps the best! Angela Lansbury was the star of a brilliant cast. Also compliments to Charles Edwards!

EXCELLANT PERFORMANCE
I went to see this last night 6th March, what an enjoyable evening it was. although we had seats high up in the grand circle we still had a very good view as the theatre is not large. I could not fault the acting, Angela Lansbury played Madame Arcati brilliantly, but the same can be said for the whole cast. Well worth seeing.

EXCELLENT PRODUCTION - SHAME ABOUT THE SOUND
We saw this on 6th March. We had front row seats in the dress circle at the far end (A28 & A29). Great view - partly obscured by the hand rail but did not disappoint too much. The sound wasn't great even from these seats so I would suggest some mikes were considered for the remainder of the run. The production is of its time but the script holds its own thanks to the excellent pen of Mr Coward. The acting all around was superb especially Charles Edwards but the main draw without a doubt was" Murder She Wrote" Dame Angela. I can't believe someone 38 years my senior can move the way she does around the stage. Every time she appeared she owned the stage but did not overplay her role. There were a few fluffed lines but most of the cast made the very odd error however they did not detract from the flow of the play. We loved the performance & would highly recommend it so get a ticket fast before the end of the run in June.

ANGELA'S MASTERCLASS THE OTHERS NEED TO LEARN FROM
Sometime you get to witness theatrical magic, Dame Anelga offeres delivers an amazing acting masterclass. However the overall production was a little flabby. I watched the first night performance and Im not sure if it was first night nerves or not, but too much of the comic timing was off. The cast didnt seem to have settled down with each other. The play is bullet proof so always enjoyable, but for a major west end production it was a little disappointing.

ANGELA LANSBURY IS FANTASTIC
Went to see this last night with two friends, we were sitting in the rear stalls. The set was fantastic, the acting great overall a great night or at least would have been if we could have heard. It was a real struggle to hear the whole script, the level of concentration needed was too much to be honest. Everyone around us was suffering to at least the same degree as us, some worse. Shame. That said, even with the poor sound/voice projection I would highly recommend it and if someone at the Theatre reads this, it would be a good idea to both mike the stage and turn the sound up! I long to give it a 5 star review, Angela Lansbury was incredibly good, funny and remarkably light on her feet, the other actors were right up with her. It is the first time I have been to the Gielgud Theatre, not sure I would risk it again though.
