Why See I and You?
Maisie Williams stars!
Star of Game of Thrones, Maisie Williams, leaves Westeros behind as she makes her stage debut in Lauren Gunderson's I and You at the Hampstead Theatre this autumn.
I and You
Housebound Caroline hasn't attended school in months, with no one else for company Caroline turns to the heady world of Facebook and Instagram in order to feel connected, that is however until Anthony turns up armed with a battered poetry book.
As a last minute race to complete the school project ensues, this particular assignment becomes more that just a piece of homework. As the pair begin to share and reveal their deepest hopes and dreams to one another they discover that it's not just school that bonds them...
More than just a 'teenage drama', I and You, explores friendship, innocence and living life to its fullest. After becoming a finalist for the prestigious Susan Smith Blackburn Prize, I and You became Gunderson's signature play. With the playwright becoming America's most produced playwright in 2017 Gunderson has also received the coveted Lanford Wilson Award and two Steinberg/ATCA New Play Awards.
