Why See ?

David Suchet stars!

Jamie Lloyd and co have cooked up a unique new event paying tribute to theatrical iconoclast and Nobel prize winner Harold Pinter for the tenth anniversary of his death - a whole season at his namesake theatre, dedicated to his one-act plays. Kicking off proceedings is The Lover and The Collection, starring national treasure, David Suchet!

Over a five decade career, Harold Pinter rose to become one of our most influential playwrights with his biting wit and simmering menace contributing to 29 full length plays and 25 theatrical sketches. The Pinter at the Pinter season will delve into his shorter works, that despite their length, pack no less of that characteristic punch.

The Lover
Placing a conventional and suburban couple into a unconventional circumstancePinter explores love lies and seduction in this comedic yet intricate one act play.

The Collection
Often lauded as one of the most outstanding plays of the 20th century, The Collection is classic Pinter. Full of ambiguity and the implication of threat, The Collection follows two separate couple as they become entangled in sexual desire and a quest for power.
