After much speculation and rumour, DEAR EVAN HANSEN, Broadway's latest smash hit musical, is now playing in London's West End. Telling the story of troubled teen Evan, the six-time Tony-winning and Grammy-winning musical dives into the themes of misunderstood youth and the ever-growing impact of technology on our lives. This Tony-winning musical has proven to be a massive hit here on the West End, earning a staggering seven Olivier nominations including Best New Musical!

After its world premiere in Washington back in 2015, this tear-jerking tuner opened to much critical acclaim at Broadway's Music Box Theater in 2016. Combatting the likes of Hamilton, DEAR EVAN HANSEN rose to the top of the Broadway leaderboard where it still proudly sits almost two years on. With a perfectly pitched pop score, which includes hits such as For Forever and Words Fail, by La La Land writers Benj Pasek and Justin Paul, DEAR EVAN HANSEN won six 2017 Tony awards, including Best Musical, and a Grammy award in 2018 for Best Musical Theater Album.

What is Dear Evan Hansen about?

The Evan of our story is a high school misfit who is desperate for any form of recognition from his peers. When a traumatic event rocks the community Evan is thrust into its centre, finally getting what he's always wanted: a chance to fit in.

Smart, contemporary and timely, DEAR EVAN HANSEN is a touching and socially conscious exploration of the tumult of adolescence, and what just what we're willing to sacrifice to find our own place in the overwhelming noise of the modern world.
