Everybody's favorite canine caper leaps onto the stage during Regent's Park Open Air Theatre's brand new adaptation of 101 Dalmations. Based on Dodie Smith's iconic story, which was originally (and fittingly) set within the leafy surrounds of Regent's Park, the musical features a book by celebrated British theatremakers Zinnie Harris (Miss Julie, Meet Me At Dawn) and Douglas Hodge, and puppetry Tobie Oblie (Running Wild).

Perfect for all the family, the age-old wagging tale follows the adventures of spotted pooches Pongo and Missis. Living the very portrait of a perfect life, the pair of dalmatians live with their humans the Dearlys and their 15 adorable puppies, who are adored by all who meet them. Unfortunately, they catch the eye of immortal villain Cruella de Vil, a dastardly fashionista with designs on the dalmatian's spotted coats.

Puppets or real-life?

Fantastic. I was engrossed from beginning to end. The sad bit had me crying and it was also full of humour. It's amazing how the puppets come to life so quickly in my imagination. Great acting and singing. Lovely host in the Ambassador bar too. ... Read more

Would highly recommend buying a ticket. Everyone did a fabulous job and the puppets were great. I cannot praise this performance enough. ... Read more

Without doubt this whole company excelled at bringing the story to stage, music, sets, acts, voices, choreography was brilliant Each character was superbly portrayed and the puppetry was so skillful you could almost forget they were puppets. ...
