Our Town

Our Town at Open Air Theatre

Why see Our Town?

What makes us human?

"Do any human beings ever realise life as they live it? Every - every, minute?" Thorton Wilder's Pulitzer Prize-winning drama Our Town kicks off the Regents Park Open Air Theatre's 2019 summer season. First debuting on Broadway in 1938, the play has been enjoyed productions all over the world. As one of the playwrights most iconic pieces, Our Town is famed for its universal relevance and its celebration of what it means to be human. From the exciting to the mundane.

Set in the fictional town of Grover's Corners, New Hampshire, Our Town explores the lives that we build around each other. From communities to families the Pulitzer Prize winner dives into what makes us function within society and how we deal with the past and prepare for the future.

From birth to death and everything in between, Our Town is an iconically human story.
