STUNNINGLY ORIGINAL

The transformation of the Playhouse into the Kit Kat club is a master stroke. Jessie Buckley’s powerful performance made me feel the pain of Sally Bowles’ character and Eddie Redmayne was equally astonishing. Absolutely fabulous!

A.MA.ZING!!

I absolutely loved it and can’t wait to see it again to take it all in as it’s sensory overkill. Eddie redmayne is sensational and Jessie Buckley really portrays the vulnerability in her character - oh and she can sing too!! The set and staging are so clever and so different. The comments about the storyline getting a bit lost are fair but it’s left me wanting to know more about the times. The rise of the nazis lurking in the background is eerie and so well captured. It’s definitely the show of the year.

OUTSTANDING MUST SEE

I have seen Cabaret numerous times and it’s always been a favourite of mine .This production was breathtaking in every way !I wanted to pinch myself to check that I really was in the KitKat Club .You didn’t just watch the incredible performances of the talented cast ,you were immersed in the whole storytelling experience !!! No weak links ,fabulous costume ,imaginative staging ,delicious choreography etc etc Eddie was off the scale and for me The Emcee of all time ! I loved Jesse’s portrayal of the real Sally Bowles ,stripped back and raw with not a jazz hand in sight .The whole cast were exceptional in every way including the amazing orchestra and musicians .The emotions I felt throughout the show took my breath away and the tears flowed at the end because I didn’t want it to ! One for the memory banks .I feel so privileged to have seen it …..Thankyou

THE BEST SHOW OF THE YEAR.. OF MANY YEARS...

Outstanding production, cast, music.. All performed in our own wonderful, decadent Kit Kat Club. Get a ticket... You won't regret it.

PHENOMENAL

An absolutely stunning show. The overall experience was so detailed, from the moment you enter the immersive world of the Kit Kat Club, through the bars, into the auditorium and throughout the show. Tom Scutt's design work is breath taking. The director, Rebecca Frecknal's approach to the work is bold and layered relaying the story of the time but with a modern dynamic that makes it entirely relatable. The cast capture the characters brilliantly and really immerse you into their world with stunning choreography by Julia Cheng and Kayla Lomas-Kirton and a wonderful musical score by Jennifer Whyte. I won't say too much except go and experience it for yourself. A show not to be missed!

MESMERISING… A FRESH TAKE ON A FAMILIAR FAVOURITE

If you are expecting (or needing) a Bob Fosse type of song n dance production with lots of razzmatazz and a reprise of Liza Minnelli’s iconic screen performance - this is not for you… Instead it is a fresh look at the subject, much more nuanced and with exceptional performances from all the cast that bring imagination and commitment to what is actually a very tawdry and seedy story. Redmayne brilliantly holds the production together and delivers a great comic first half and a suitably sinister second. For me, Jessie Buckley was the stand out performance both vocally and in the quieter moments. Really astonishing and I really hope to be able to sell the other kidney and come back again…10/10

MORE INCREDIBLE THAN I CAN EXPRESS

wow. just wow. i traveled abroad to see this show during one of the previews, investing in a table seat, and woah- it did not disappoint. from the minute you step in you're enveloped in this bizzare world. even before the actual show starts, you get one incredible show. and the show itself- absolutely fantastic. the entire cast is amazing, especially Jessie Buckley (her rendition of cabaret is something out of this world) . but Eddie Redmayne steals the show completely. Maybe his best role ever, just bizzare and scary and so, so incredible. if you have a way to watch this, please do yourself a favor and do it. you won't regret it.

AMAZING EXPERIENCE

My daughter & I travelled down from Birmingham for a matinee performance. We had time for a delicious brunch at Tuttons in Covent Garden. We abs loved the show and the whole experience. Eddie Redmayne & Jessie Buckley we’re both fantastic, as were the rest of the cast. We also loved the burlesque dancing performance as we waited to take our seats. The music was also great. Cannot fault this show

THE BEST SHOW & CAST I’VE SEEN IN YEARS

The moment you walk into the decadent Kit Kat club you are lost in a time as your senses take in the transformed theatre. Musicians & dancers wandering around setting the scene then the show begins with an amazing talented character (Eddie Redmayne) with his unique take of emcee . Jessie Buckley as sally is outstanding her powerful & emotional vocals are incredible. The entire cast are fantastically talented . What a show the best Ive ever seen . You definitely need to see it for yourselves .

ENTHRALLING

We booked the whole experience, food, drinks and full on cabaret package and it was absolutely worth every penny. The waiters showed us to our table and without prompting knew our orders. The show-what can we say that hasn't already been said? Jessie Buckley is entirely superb and who knew Eddie could sing like an angel and that manipulating body . The cast managed the round stage and set skillfully ensuring every audience member had a fair view of the key action. You may find the initial before show experience a little cattle market like and the directions on when to take your seats is a bit muddled but forgive them that.

LIFE CHANGING

I doubt I will ever see a performance that is better than this. If I die tomorrow I will at least know that I have experienced the very best piece of entertainment that surely it is possible to produce. There are not sufficient superlatives to describe the entire production, including stage set, music, production, choreography and the , performances of the entire cast were simply outstanding. Eddie Redmayne and Jessie Buckley took the entire audience on a spellbinding, 3 hour journey that left us awestruck, emotionally drained and perhaps changed in some way?. We were all left in no doubt that we had been in the hands of two geniuses. Please Rise Sir Eddie and Dame Jessie - you deserve every accolade and thank you for this brilliant experience.

LOVED IT!

Seen it twice now, once in previews and once in March. Loved it even more the second time around. Left the theatre feeling exhausted from the experience, in a good way!

LOVELY TIME

Thoroughly enjoyed this production. Cast was terrific. The evening was enhanced by the efforts of Amber, who was so pleasant and could not do enough for us (l have a mobility issue). The gentleman at the side door was also kind and attentive.

CABARET

Saw this show on Saturday. Absolutely amazing. Can’t wait to see it again. As well as the outstanding cast and the pre dancers and musicians the staff are the most accommodating and helpful people ever.

PERFECTLY MARVELLOUS

Have seen the show twice now and looking forward to being able to see it again. From the moment you step through the door you are immersed in the show, with performers in the bar areas and around the stage before it starts - the attention to detail is immaculate, even all the signs are in German as well as English. Then drumroll and it's Wilkommen as you are transported back to pre-war Germany for a transfixing story that engages you from start to finish. The first half is long, but you don't notice the time passing such is the power of the show which unlike many other show just has so many showstopping numbers - the cast are amazing, the choreography spectacular and the staging, costumes and orchestra all mindblowingly good. Yes it's pricey, but worth every penny. As a final testament to how good it is, my daughter has seen Heathers 13 times, she loves it so much, and came out of Cabaret saying it was now her favourite show!!! Long may we be Wilkommen at the Kit Kat Club!!

HELP FOR THOSE WITH DISABILITY

Apart from seeing an amazing cast and production of Cabaret, I wanted to mention the help and courtesy of the Playhouse staff. My partner is disabled. We had step free access and was greeted by a member of staff who said we would have had a free drink had we entered at the main entrance. He then went off to get our drinks for us. My partner uses a stroller and the staff looked after this and brought it to him when he needed it. There is a disabled toilet at the stalls level. (The atg helpline for accessibility in the theatre is also very good). After the show, two young ladies on the door, helped me use my newly downloaded Uber app!! All in all, the staff were very friendly and helpful and made for a lovely experience. Thank you x

THE PLAYHOUSE CABARET REVIVAL IS DARKER, YET ENGROSSING

The reimagining of the musical shines with its set design, orchestra and key musical numbers set in the intimate Playhouse Theater. The minimalist set design and costumes help focus the attention on each of the main characters as throughout the musical. However, by doing so, Eddie and Jessie have to evoke different emotions through song which at times does feel "loud" or " shouty." Omari was the weakest in the cast with limited acting range and was unable to connect with the other characters or audience. Overall, the tone of the musical was darker which was mostly felt by Jessie's character who sang most of her songs with somber and/or angry tone. The musical was a great experience and the ensemble cast was great with dance and song which helped bring some humanity to the characters and some life as well. Highly recommend as they continue to sort out the kinks in its preview runs.

GREAT ADAPTATION WITH A FEW ISSUES

I have been trying to see this West End version since last Spring, and was not disappointed by the overall ambiance & immersive details of The Kit Kat Club. Madeline Brewer (“The Handmaid’s Tale”) & Callum Scott Howells (only 23 years old!) were phenomenal, as were the ensemble of lithe & sexy dancers who interacted with the audience. However, I have two issues that were incredibly distracting. The stage is located in the center & the actors must continually address each side of the theatre to engage with the audience. I was seated on the “shorter” side (with fewer rows in the stalls), and we received significantly less “face time.” After the first number, I was convinced that I’d made a terrible mistake spending £400 to watch the actors’ backs all night. The second issue is the disappointing casting of Sid Sagar as Clifford. His acting was either completely robotic & disjointed or hyperbolic & unbelievable, reminding me of an awkward & amateurish high school theatre student.

UNDERWELMED

Acting and cast were great. Stage pretty simple. Setting of theatre amazing. Just didnt hit the mark for me. We also spent a fortune on seats which were cramped and very hard. We paid for the gourmet luxury light dinner. It was very lacking. Pretzel, humous, a few cold meats and olives, 3 small bits of cheese and packet crackers! All in a tin camping tray, very disappointing for the price paid.

WHAT A SIMPLY FANTASTIC SHOW BUT....

I saw the show last night (17th March 2023) and up to the interval it was the simply the best show I have ever seen on a London stage but what did they do to the title song at the end - what a mess! Also why the brown suits at the end....... why not German uniforms?

AMAZING PERFORMANCES - UNCOMFORTABLE SEATS

You enter from the basement and head to the bar area. There are performers entertaining you, they are fantastic but there isn't really enough room and the security are quite surly getting you to move back, especially as you have no idea what I going on at first! The show itself is brilliant, the Emcee and supporting dancers are spectacular. The atmosphere was fantastic and the waiting staff very attentive and professional. The only gripe I have is that at £200 a ticket for row C table seats it was not possible to sit straight with your legs under the table because of the ice bucket bracket and because they have squeezed too many seats in too tightly you could not move to the side because the person right next to you, (the seats are touching) was also trying to get comfortable. Sitting twisted in this way was very uncomfortable and detracted from our enjoyment. Rows A & B had much much more room between the tables. Avoid row C at all costs it is not worth the money.

A WORK IN PROGRESS BUT WHEN IT MELDS WILL BE GENUINELY EMOTIVE AND SHINE

This was a preview performance (29/11/21) and further adjustments are still needed to make the most of the content which at times is overwhelmed by the production. Last night showed the bones of a truly amazing and consistent show but where leading roles were loudly acted and sung above being ‘lived’. The long raunchy sequences although amazingly produced overwhelmed and at times dimmed the storyline. The set and setting worked well and the band, orchestra and incidental music was amazingly preformed. Both around the theatre and in the pit ( which is located very successfully in two circle boxes ). Some singing was unfortunately strained and shouty when more restraint and less volume would convey the raw emotion more successfully. This version of Cabaret is designed to be immersive and the tawdry clubland atmosphere is well thought out, its unusual but successful. For example the moment you enter into the theatre the evening starts. The complimentary drink was an unexpected bonus but really helpful in creating a buzz from the beginning. I think I’m more critical than most so don’t be put off by me. My plan is to come back in a few months and enjoy once again after it has fully ripened but mellowed like a cheese.

UNDERWHELMED

I expected so much more but was not 'wowed' - although I was clearly the exception from the audience reaction. Looking back it was probably more about the whole experience rather than the show itself. Cramped seats, the pathetic food bag, and nowhere to place the food or drink without having to shield every time somebody stood up or tried to leave the aisle. Very stressful! Eddie Redmayne was good, but I thought Jessie Buckley was a little strained. Did she have a cold or was she trying to compete with the orchestra? She was an excellent actress though. The film was so much better!

3.0 star rating Paul Shotton from London, England

OUTSTANDING - BUT ONLY IN PARTS

The big set pieces are excellent but they are interspersed with too many slow moving passages and a poorly structured narrative which make this a less than satisfactory revival of a much revered classic. Eddie Redmayne demonstrates his virtuosity to match Joel Grey's cinematic portrayal of the the MC, however Jessie Buckley is mis-cast as Sally Bowles, despite much effort she is unable to breathe life into the central character. I found myself checking my watch a sure sign that at three hours it out stayed its welcome.

AN INTERESTING EXPERIENCE BUT COLD

This aims to be immersive from the start with members of the ensemble dotted around in the entrance tunnel and red half light everywhere. Authentic in that it was a crush because people stopped to watch in narrow corridors. Nightclub seating is not raked but rises every 4th (?) row. Tables were A to C, we were row E and with two six footers in front of us struggled to see. Queue for the ladies in the 20 minute interval stretched down 3 flights of stairs. The show itself was spectacular, the ensemble and Lisa Sadovy and Anna Jane Casey were excellent. Jessie Buckley suffered from strange direction, she has a great voice but had to shout and scream the title song, it could have warmed up towards the end and become life affirming, but no. Eddie Redmayne wiggled and contorted but made no real connection with the audience. "If you could see" was strange, my guest who was new to Cabaret had no idea what was happening. Felt no sorrow when they all died, I have seen better stage versions.

50/50 ON THIS ONE

I started my journey into the world of 1930s Berlin with wide eyed wonderment but about 30 mins in my eyes were wondering away from the stage. There are parts that are amazing and there are parts that are frankly quite awful and boring. The Cabaret girls and boys were fantastic. The musical numbers wonderful yet I found myself clock watching at parts of the storyline. Scenes felt disconnected, acting non engaging. I struggled to follow the storyline at times even though knowing the film quite well. I have come away feeling very mixed about it. I’m not sure if I love it or hate it or if I’ve missed the concept completely Either way Eddie Needs to be seen as Emcee…. Jessie as Sally needs to be replaced. The cabaret girls and boys absolutely carry the show. Shame as I had such high expectations…. Maybe that was the problem

A* FOR EFFORT - B FOR END RESULT

There is no doubt that this production makes a huge effort to make its mark on this musical. It is fair to expect that key actors and designers will want to leave their own stamp on this and exorcise the ghost of Liza and Joel. Eddie Redmayne worked his bollocks of here with full commitment and energy for days and succeeded in being the glue that holds the show together. Unfortunately Jessie Buckley didn’t perform but I presume that her understudy played Jessie’s version of Sally. Sally should be a force of nature; she should be carefree, independent, vulnerable, self-obsessed, innocent and worldly-wise all at once and this was not the case here. The circus style setting was interesting but relied too much on physicality rather than character for me. Omar I Douglas was like a young Sidney Poitier in “Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner - best thing in it.

STILL PREFER FILM INTERPRETATION

Probably the result of having seen the Bob Fosse film at an impressionable age, but still prefer that interpretation. Love the set and stage, terrific atmosphere but for me the first half failed to set the context and wouldn't have understood juxtaposition between the gaiety within and the ominous developments outside the club without the film version having highlighted the subject matter from the outset.

3.0 star rating Miss Rehashed from London, England

CAST WERE AMAZING.

The immersive experience helped set the atmospheric '30's feel.Dancers were absolutely amazing as were the orchestra (both beautiful) The big numbers were very well staged too. There was almost too much to take in. I had issues with feeling very much an inconvience as a solo theatre goer.I kept having to constantly ask where the seats actaully were due in part to the lack of signage. The person sitting next to me was drunk and so unpleasant I left at the interval.

3.0 star rating Ellis from London, England

PARTIAL SUCCESS

The first act is strong. It doesn't work all the time, especially in the second act, when the vocals turn to howling and the cheese goes up. The directorial choices made are a bit of a question mark, seeing that this is a play about Naziism. The societal shift, central to the idea of the entire work, doesn't quite have the gravitas it needs. The underlying darkness is missing, it should be a snarl, but instead the heavy-handed production goes for a scream. I wish they hadn't dumbed down the subject matter.

3.0 star rating Judy Kupferman from London, England

A BIT LONG, BUT THE AUDIENCE HAS FUN AND END IS STRIKING

The first act is a bit too long - the cabaret acts are repeated after we've got the idea. Vivien Parry as Fraulein Schneider (a secondary role) is absolutely spectacular. The others are ok but they ought to have been lighthearted and gay at the beginning, and they all seem a bit grim and upset right from the start, so the ending is less strong that it could have been. But you get drinks at the beginning, the atmosphere is fun, everybody enjoyed it.

3.0 star rating Chris Eyre from London, England

OVERRATED

I have seen more than one Cabaret, including some non-professional and this is by far not the best. I expected more 'intimacy' and excitement 'in the round' but it tended to diffuse the intensity. Choreography harder 'in the round' too. The pre-show and glitzing up the venue (including a circuitous route in), was a tad banal, but great if you'd never seen it before - but I have. Having said that, some great performances.

3.0 star rating Graham from London, England

GOOD IN PARTS

First the good, the theatre tries very hard to entertain from the moment you enter with side shows. On the other hand, I don't understand why were were asked to arrive so early (75 minutes before curtain) to see this, I would have preferred to eat. Second, the actual theatre interior and seating in the round is very good with a good lighting rig and orchestra in the boxes. However, the whole toilet arrangement is terrible with queues running up three flights of stairs at interval. This needs to be fixed. The show was a bit disappointing, almost all songs were shouted rather than sung, lack of finesse in delivery, the main male character Bradshaw played by Omar was wooden and unbelievable, the female lead Amy Lennox too shouty, seemed too one dimensional. Landlady also shouty. Worst thing was the wardrobe, the clothes seemed like Andy Pandy's washing line instead of Burlesque and destroyed any period feel.

3.0 star rating D A Allan from London, England

DECENT ENOUGH BUT MAINLY HYPE.

It is very much Musical Theatre rather than musical or theatre. Someone actually did jazz hands at one point. The 'Kit Kat' theme doesn't really work unless you like fake theme parks. It holds zero atmosphere and does nothing to improve the show. The pre-show performances are mostly ignored and at times irritating. Overall a workable show but some of the cast were poor and seemed to have only one expression or movement which they used repeatedly. The costume decisions were more Strictly than original, why were the dancers in their dressing gowns when they are supposed to be on stage??, and basically it is the Strictly audience this is aiming for. Overhyped yes, competent yes, fabulous no, but maybe better if you've had some very expensive drinks first.

3.0 star rating Maz from London, England

SKIP IT, JUST WATCH THE FILM

Clever production at times, but the lead actors were sooo hammy and Sally Bowles had no voice, and was just, well, annoying. When she butchered the title number, I was cringing. The EmCee tried hard but tended to be a one trick pony. I got cheap tickets, would never have paid full price for this. It was massively hyped up, and did not at all meet expectations. Skip this and watch the absolutely brilliant film instead.

3.0 star rating from London, England

DISAPPOINTING

I was so looking forward to seeing this production, and I actually did really enjoy parts. however, for the cost of the tickets, I just think it lacks any great spectacle. the wardrobe was sorely lacking, there wasn't a prop to be seen and the lack of choreography on numbers that for me should have been show stoppers, ie life is a cabaret, performed in an ill fitting man's suit... what were they thinking?.. this is supposed to be burlesque... a bit of a let down, 6 out of 10, must try harder

3.0 star rating Disappointed of from London, England

VERY POOR VALUE FOR MONEY

For £150 - v poor value for money. Nobody had a clue about the "with food" ticket we'd purchased. One of the staff even said that it was an add-on that we hadn't purchased! Hardly any staff knew where to direct us for the 'food' aspect of the experience. Meantime we were crammed in narrow corridors for a pre-show "experience" with nobody knowing what was going on. People were confused - the people behind said they were "following" us, but we had no more of a clue than them! Thank goodness we eventually found someone who understood we'd paid an extortionate £150 for the 'with food package' and directed us to the right place - 3 floors up from our seats! By then we were stressed. The food came in a TINY tiffin. Thankfully the £15 cocktails were included. The modern interpretation of the performance was OK, but I prefer a more 'traditional' approach. Our £150 seats were right at the back of the stalls, so in effect, a horizontally restricted view. Toilet Q snaked up the stairs!

MC SAVES THE DAY AMONGST UNREMARKABLE PERFORMANCES

Very good production values in a fantastic theatre setting. We were very disappointed by the quality of the actress playing Sally Bowles, but the MC performance saved the day. The general cast quality was disappointing - the ensemble company were very bland and unremarkable. No individual member of the company brought anything additional to the performance. Maybe this was deliberate so as not to show up the lead actress. But it’s a classic timeless musical with a great history.

UNEVEN PACING BUT STILL A GREAT NIGHT OUT

Ok. First the preamble. We booked row H in the stalls right! Best side of the stage even tho it’s in the round, and great view (£120 each). I suspect the view is good from everywhere. The pre show can be enjoyed but you don’t hv to get there that early! 20 mins is enough. We are at Tom Kerridge opposite at a 6pm pre theatre menu. Absolutely wonderful place, food and service. You get a free shot on entering which is nice touch. If you don’t love small spaces beware! It really is in the basement and winding narrow corridors/stairs to navigate. We took our own water which was allowed. It’s pretty hot inside! Easy to order drinks etc at bar which you can take in with you and there are separate cubicle only loos for those concerned about sharing. Be aware the first half is long! 1h40 and you cannot leave yr seat so use that loo first! :) Shout out to the lovely member of staff who chased up our drinks order at the interval. The show is slightly uneven throughout. Dancers, absolutely terrific and high energy throughout. Jake Spears is fantastic. I liked the Sally Bowles actor, Rebecca Taylor and she can sing but didn’t quite find her vulnerable enough and she speaks v quietly at times. Not much chemistry with her lover either. There is a lot of focus on the elderly couple relationship which obviously turns the plot darker but it lagged at times and maybe too many songs.. Overall a fab show evening out but not quite as wonderful as I had expected. Still glad I went tho

EMPERORS NEW CLOTHES

I couldn't stop checking the time which says everything. The tickets are extortionate, presumably because of Redmayne - unfortunately he doesn't deliver anything a talented non-Hollywood actor would surely do with the paycheck more, couldn't do. Buckley brought energy to her numbers but her scenes were disconnected and poorly acted. Douglas should not be allowed to walk a stage - Its a Sin has afforded him a stage career he doesn't deserve. In summary it was fine but I was bored and I was underwhelmed.

2.0 star rating H A Smith from Scarborough UK

LACKLUSTRE, WITH EXCEPTION OF FRAU SCHNEIDER AND HERR SCHULTZ

Very disappointing. No light and shade in this version of Cabaret. The MC was played as a pantomime dame instead of the knowing if outrageous cynic who provides the constant reminder of the darkness of the Germany in which Naziism is taking hold. Only Vivian Parry as Frau Schneider and the actor who plays Herr Schultz provide the real poignancy and tension that should have characterised the entire performance. The choreography is very busy - presumably to substitute for the bare staging, but after a while it felt very repetitive and not interesting, despite the best efforts of the dancers. The main characters especially the Sally Bowles character were not given much to play with in the direction and writing - Sally just comes over as a bit silly. The key numbers including Tomorrow Belongs to Me and Money Money Money we’re just lost in the lack of pacing of the production. The play was staged as almost theatre in the round but the director didn’t know how to do this effectively do the company was not including all of the audience all of the time (see Ayckbourn for example who knows how to do this properly). All in all not worth paying for even if much cheaper than it was. Certainly not worth paying for a night in central london involving hotel and travel.

2.0 star rating Robert C from London, England

UNDERWHELMED

I didn't actually start getting the plot until nearly half way through. This was mainly because you can't follow what is being said easily. Also, some songs you just have no hope of knowing what they are singing about. Like other people I have been to Guys and Dolls where they have discreet screens narrating the dialogue and words to the songs - brilliant! I think if they added this facility it would make a dramatic difference to the enjoyment of the show.

WASTE IF TIME AND MONEY

Cabaret at the kit Kat club not worth wasting 700 pounds for and not worth wasting a covid test or for that matter getting covid. The ambience and the food are acceptable and enjoyable however my husband and I found ourselves falling asleep in the first half. Being brought up on the original 1972 version we found the whole thing dark and depressing. Surely you should come out of a west end show feeling uplifted otherwise we would have gone and watched a proper play. I know this demonstrates the situation in the 30s but this should have been fun, exuberant and decadent and not make you leave the theatre feeling sad and disillusioned. The cast were ok but underwhelming in their performance and seemed to be mostly in their pyjamas. Very disappointing and not worth leaving the house for. Went home and watched Liza Minnelli just to make myself feel better.

1.0 star rating Michaela Best from London, England

VERY DISAPPOINTING

The star is for bar staff & dancers. The MC & cast members communicated none of the quiet fear of rising National Socialism & the Kit Kat Club was presented as a debauched orgy & not a decadent escape from the violence & evil engulfing Berlin at the time. Actually, it didn't feel like we were even in a club. 'Tomorrow belongs to me' was totally wasted. This should be a beautiful, chilling 'patriotic' Hilterjugend anthem sung by a relative child displaying all the Aryan prerequisites, but was lost in this production. Similarly, in 'If you could see her', we were assaulted by a quite frightening, large gorilla! None of the delicate, gentile dance movements with the cloying cynicism of Joel Grey. The last line was sadly lost (my daughter had no idea what it was about). There was no chemistry between the two leads, the thuggish MC had no charisma. The stage is very small with very few props. Actors' backs are often facing you. Singing often shouty rather than meaningful. Disappointing!

STEREOTYPE CHARACTERS

Quite disappointing! Expensive tickets to boot, the set and costumes have nothing to show for this. Stereotyped weird characters thundering in and out of stage is definitely no feast for the eyes.More like a circus show with a cast of oddities.Definitely counter culture in every aspect. A complete waste of time and money. We left after the the first part.

WASTE OF GOOD MONEY

My wife and I couldn’t wait to see this show, but what a let down. I will be brief in my summary 1) Acting from start to finish was wooden 2) Choreography appalling 3) Atmosphere, non existent If you want to see how it’s done, go and see ‘Guys & Dolls’ at the Tower Theatre
