Why See Cabaret?

MusicalsMothers Day

Don't Tell Mama!

WINNER OF SEVEN OLIVIER AWARDS, INCLUDING BEST MUSICAL REVIVAL, BEST ACTOR IN A MUSICAL AND BEST ACTRESS IN A MUSICAL!

Now starring Luke Treadaway and Cara Delevigne until 1st June

A bold and daring new production of the Kander and Ebb classic, Cabaret is now showing! This immersive new production takes audiences to Berlin's seedier side at the Playhouse Theatre, which is specially adapted for the show. So put down the knitting, the book, and the broom and prepare for a night out you won't soon forget!

Following critically-acclaimed sell-out runs, Cabaret swept the 2022 Olivier Awards bagging seven of the 11 awards it was nominated for, including Best Musical Revival and all four of the musical acting awards for Buckley, Redmayne, Liza Sadovy and Elliot Levey.

The production also sees theatre titan Ambassador Theatre Group Productions work alongside the champion of fringe and festival theatre, Underbelly.

What is Cabaret about?

A doomed romance in a city that dances on the edge of oblivion, Cabaret is one of the true classics of musical theatre, weaving together strands of debauchery and terror to capture a moment in time, that despite the warning, is ever in danger of being repeated. Featuring Kander and Ebb's unforgettable music, Cabaret is the story of an American writer and an entrancing showgirl who find themselves in Weimar era Berlin, as the shadow of fascism grows in the country. From inside the decadence of the Kit Kat club, they and their fellow artists, creatives, freaks, and weirdos attempt to eek every last bit of freedom before the Nazis take over.

What we thought

Stunning ESCAPIST spectacular

In here, life is beautiful, and if it's all going to be this good, I'd like to stay forever.

The production begins from your allotted start time as you enter the repurposed Playhouse Theatre - now transformed into the Kit Kit Club by Ambassador Theatre Group and Underbelly into the Weimar era nightclub of the musical.
