Definitely not related to a certain Disney property, Bryony Lavery's Frozen gets a welcome revival in February 2018. Starring woman-of-the-moment and amazing actor Suranne Jones, this 2002 play is a haunting meditation on retribution, remorse, and redemption that arises after the abduction of a young girl on a sunny evening.

Based on Vasily Grossman's censored novel of the same name, 'Life and Fate' has been adapted for the stage for the first time by Lev Dodin, artistic director of Maly Drama Theatre of St. Petersburg. To encapsulate the novel's vast subject matter of Stalin-era Soviet society, Dodin puts the production's central focus on the fate of the Jewish Shtrum Family. As part of Maly Drama Theatre's repertoire, this stage adaption has toured around the world for the past decade to great international acclaim and will come to London for the first time this season. The work is presented at Theatre Royal Haymarket and will run in rep with Anton Chekhov's, 'Uncle Vanya'.

The transformation of a tiny theatre company into a powerhouse of world drama has been attributed to Lev Dodin's tenure at the Maly Drama Theatre of St. Petersburg. Recipients of both State & International Awards, Maly Drama Theatre tours the world to much acclaim. This year they bring their repertoire to the Theatre Royal Haymarket season with Dodin's interpretation of 'Uncle Vanya', the classic play by Anton Chekhov. This celebrated production is a tragicomedy about wasted time and unrequited love that examines the bitter-sweet moments in ordinary life. It will run in rep with Vasily Grossman's, 'Life and Fate'.
