Rock 'N' Roll
Rock N Roll in occupied Czechoslovakia
Rock N Roll in occupied Czechoslovakia
It's 1968. The Russians have invaded Czechoslovakia, Pink Floyd have parted ways with Syd Barrett and a postgrad at Cambridge named Jan has split with his Marxist professor, Max, to return to Prague. In his hand is a suitcase full of controversial music. Caught up as a rebel in a communist police state as rock n roll music reaches one of its most subversive eras, what will become of Jan and his old professor across the next 21 years?
Directed by Nina Raine, Rock 'N' Roll is a poignant new play from Tom Stoppard, winner of an incredible five Tony Awards, Three Oliviers and eight Evening Standard awards for his previous works, including Leopoldstadt and Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead.
