The Curious Case of Benjamin Button to Close in the West End

Time Is Ticking!
Benjamin Button's clock is finally running out... in reverse, of course. The Olivier Award-winning musical has announced it will play its final West End performance on 11 October 2025, marking exactly one year and one day at the Ambassadors Theatre. That's a full West End life cycle - though in Benjamin's case, he's technically just been born!

About The Curious Case of Benjamin Button
Based on the short story by F. Scott Fitzgerald, this beautifully moving production has turned back the hands of time on what a small-scale musical can achieve. With book and lyrics by Jethro Compton and music and lyrics by Darren Clark, the awards shelf proves that a show can accomplish a lot in such a short amount of time.
Growing up in a small fishing town in Cornwall, Benjamin Button has always been an outsider. Born as an old man and increasingly getting younger, Button dreams of a life filled with adventure and love. When he meets a local girl called Elowen Keene, Button's wants can finally be realised, but with war looming, will Button get to live out his dream?
The show scooped three Olivier Awards, including Best New Musical, Best Actor in a Musical for John Dagleish, and Outstanding Musical Contribution for its orchestrations and music direction by Darren Clark and Mark Aspinall.
Catch The Curious Case of Benjamin Button before it rewinds out of the West End for good. The reviews don't lie!
