What's The Story?
Translated from Portuguese, "Ovo" means "egg" and the whole show centres on the sudden arrival of one very mysterious egg in an insect community. What follows is curiosity and a whole lot of fluttery romantic feelings when a new bug bumbles into town and falls for a ladybug... love really is in the air.
First hatched in 2009 and created by Cirque legends Guy Laliberte and Gilles St-Croix, OVO is a love letter to the little critters we often overlook - a celebration of life's tiny details, told with Cirque's signature wow-factor. That means eye-popping visuals, 14-metre trapeze antics, jaw-dropping acrobatics, and performers who move like they've got wings of their own.
