KC And The Sunshine Band Musical

As if Florida's legendary group KC and the Sunshine Band weren't already iconic enough for influencing a generation of disco music, they're now to be further immortalised in a brand new musical! Get Down Tonight tells the story of founding member Harry Wayne Casey's early life and the journey which led to the formation of a band that would sell over 100 million records around the world. With book by J.F. Lawton and music by Casey, the musical stars Ross Harmon as Wayne Casey, Adam Taylor as Orly, Paige Fenlon as Dee and Annabelle Terry as Gina. Featuring all the hits including "That's The Way (I Like It)", "Give It Up" and, of course, "Get Down Tonight", it's set to be a joyful ride through a piece of disco history!

The Band

Shaking booty since 1973, KC and the Sunshine band have been dedicated to bringing the funk and 'Sunshine sound' into people's lives, pushing away the clouds and getting people dancing, cos that's the way they like it (uhuh uhuh!). Formed in Florida, they first made a splash with 1975's self-titled album. The record was bursting with hits and won the group acclaim, fame and a place in pop history. Since then the band have made over 100 million record sales, garnered nine grammy nominations winning three of them and also earning themselves an American Music Award.
