Why see Echo?

I Wasn't Born, I Was Made

She's volatile, seductive, and craving danger. He'll do anything to keep her happy. Written by Susan Eve Haar and directed by Abigail Zealey Bess, this gripping psychological thriller explores the moral complexities of reproductive technology, the staged nature of intimacy and the haunting allure of creation - all laid bare for scrutiny.

What's The Story?

At a remote bed and breakfast in upstate New York, a couple checks in to mark their tenth anniversary. The room is romantic yet gaudy, strange, like her. As the champagne pours and their intimate games intensify, the night begins to unravel into something more disturbing, more surreal - until a baby, a knife, and a long-buried truth tear everything apart.

Two decades later, a new couple arrives - this time to scatter the woman's mother's ashes. But the room still holds something: in the patterned wallpaper, in the steady whir of the ceiling fan, in the shadows of what once happened. She's never been here before... or at least, not quite like this.
