Award-winning director Michael Longhurst takes the helm for the world premiere of Ben Ockrent's withering new family drama, coming to the Lyric Hammersmith next Summer. Telling the story of four squabbling siblings attempting to divvy up their late mother's estate, Relics is a darkly humorous take on family dynamics that's not to be missed.
Liv, Rob, Michelle and Jonny are finding things difficult enough already, trying to decide on who gets on from their late mother's possessions. Things are about to get much worse when an old family secret is suddenly unearthed, leaving them all reeling and unsure of how to proceed. As they argue about what to do, the image of their family life threatens to tear itself apart - and in rather spectacular fashion. Relics looks at growing up and losing our innocence with dark, sharp humour.
